Beccles Area Football 6/3/04

Beccles were not in action at the wek-end, and the Caxton went down. Southwold gave themselves a huge boost at the top of division 3 winning away to fellow high flyers Foster Athletic, whilst Norwich United Reserves were beaten. Its still tight at the top, Dersingham are in hot pursuit. Its our Southwold side however who are presently in the driving seat.

Beccles / Local Football Results 14/2/04

Southwold went 'TOP' of division 3 after leaders Norwich United were beaten at home by Fosters, who themselves are now third. With 4th placed Dersingham also winning its very tight at the top of this division, and all four clubs could still take the honours.
Goals a plenty again in Loddons match, this time 5-3, and spare a thought for Norton Athletic beaten in the Cup Semi-Final, but it has been a wonderful journey Norton.

Beccles / Local Football Results 7/2/04

A superb victory for Beccles gives them hope of avoiding the drop, still much to do, but golly this helps. Always seems to be lots of goals where Loddon are concerned, unfortunately although both first team and Reserves score four each, both are beaten.
A good day in general for results, Southwold hit 7 away, but stay 2nd in division 3 as league leaders Norwich Utd Res also hit 7. Good result for Beccles Caxton, and Bungay achieve a good cup victory.

Beccles / Local Football Results 31/1/04

Many games are off due to waterlogged grounds, a few survived. The problem now will be a fixture back log, with an end of season rush for completion.

In the Lovewell Blake Anglian Combination Premier division, Beccles Town are one place off the bottom, and looking down the barrell of relegation. They are four points behind third from bottom Sprowston, and have played a game more.
Loddon are seventh in division 1, and realistically are just in a comfortable safe position. Whilst in division 2 the same can be said of Bungay, half way and in the comfort zone.

Southwold in division 3 are presently second, two points adrift of leaders Norwich united reserves, with a game in hand, and two point ahead of Dersingham. Promotion for the second consecutive season is well within Southwolds grasp, but they have faltered of late, and need to put that right.

In division 4 Beccles Reserves and Beccles Caxton are in the comfort zones. There is however the chance that Beccles Reserves could push for honours, but it would need a good run of results.

Local Football Results 10/1/04

Beccles gave themselves hope with an excellent away victory in the Premier division, but they still look in deep trouble near to the drop zone of the division. How sad would that be just a year after promotion.
Southwold suffered a second defeat in a row, unheard of in recent times. Its back to the league now, and we hope up into division 2 next season.
