The very popular quayside of Beccles is an excellent place for mooring, it is also an excellent stopping place for river traffic for local shops and services, along with a variety of pubs and restaurants. During early August each year it provides the ideal location for the culmination of the towns three day Carnival event, where you will witness one of the most splendid firework displays in the area. During the summer season, the quayside also witnesses open air worship on many Sunday afternoons in the company of the local Salvation Army Band.
