The Earsham Otter Trust

Situated on the A143 at Earsham, between Bungay and Homersfield the Otter Trust contains a wonderland of otters, waterfowl, Muntjac deer, and Wallabies, all beside the River Waveney. The trust is the only place breeding the British Otter for release back into the wild.

There is a Tea Room, and Shop on site, with opening times April to October daily between 10.30 an 6pm,

Walberswick

This peaceful village is home to the national and world crabbing championships, (normally held in August each year) this pastime is widely enjoyed by children of all ages and makes an ideal family day out. There are also some fine walks in this area, one simple walk is to walk inland along the river bank until you reach the bailey bridge. Turning left you will come to the main part of the village near to the ancient St Andrews church. This is walk enjoyed by many.

Woottens of Wenhaston

For those people who enjoy ambling around a nursery, Woottens has been featured on the 'BBC Gardener's world' it claims to stock the largest range of plants in East Anglia. 80 varieties of grasses, 70 varieties of penstemons, 150 varieties of pelargoniums, and 2000 varieties of herbaceous perennials.
The nursery is found at Blackheath, a turning near the 'Star Inn' on the main road in the village.

Pleasurewood Hills

This is a large American theme Park, where a wide variety of rides and attractions are found. There are also a number of side shows during the day. The park has become nationally known, and it is advised for those visiting to reserve a whole day.

The park is found at the northern end of Lowestoft, in the 'Corton' district. It is well signposted off of the main coastal A12 road as you leave the town towards Gt Yarmouth.

Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum - (Flixton)

This fine Museum is situated at Flixton behind the famous 'Buck' public house on the B1062.

There are over 25 historic aircraft to be found, both civil and military from world war 1 to present day. RAF bomber command, the 44th bomb group, and the RAF Air Sea-Rescue are all represented.

Pettitts of Reedham

The Animal adventure park at Reedham provides a complete day out for children of all ages. A wide variety of animals of all sizes are to be found, and many that children will simply love (want to take home) or just want to hug. There are a number of rides including the Cup and Saucer ride, the flying elephant, and a picnic area.
