Beccles Museum

The Museum is housed in a magnificent building with warm friendly staff awaiting your arrival. The Grade II listed building originally the boys school created by Sir John Leman around 1600, formed the beginning of today's Sir John Leman High School which stands in Ringsfield Road. This building in Ballgate was donated to the town when John Leman died in 1631. Following restoration in the late 1700's, it is now mainly a brick and flint building, but was originally mainly a timber framed structure.

The Museum Opens:

1st April - 31st October each year: 2.30pm - 5pm
It is closed on Mondays, but opens on each bank holiday during this time.
